Joseph Paver Wigglesworth was born in Kippax in about 1854.
On the 1861 census he is shown to be 7 years old and living with his parents in Allerton Bywater.
He was killed at the Locke & Co. Kippax Colliery on the 26th March 1870. He was an assistant hanger on and was killed by the cage at the bottom of the shaft. Aged 16.
The coroners report was for accidentally crushed.
Joseph was buried at Allerton church on the 24th March 1870.
