Ernest John William Gulliford was born in Radstock Somerset in 1921 to Ernest and Louise.
He was baptised at Radstock church on the 11th February 1921. The address was 26 Waterloo Road.
On the 1921 census Ernest was 5 months old and the family are living at the same address. His father was working as a miner/breaker for Earl Waldergrave Radstock collieries.
Ernest was married married at Pontefract in the second quarter 1941 to Minnie Hughes.
On the 29th August 1941 two miners were building a pack when in the ripping when a stone fell and killed Ernest instantly.
He was 21 years old.
