George West was born in 1842 in Glasshoughton Castleford to Peter & Elizabeth West. He was baptised at Castleford Parish Church on the 29th May 1842.
On the 1851 census he is 9 years old and living in Kemp Building Castleford.
George was injured at the Carter & Co. Allerton Bywater Colliery after being run over by a waggon. He died from his injuries on the 24th August 1869.
He was burried at Allerton Church on the 26th August 1869.
