Dominic McHale was was born in 1907 in Castleford.
On the 1911 census he was 3 years old and listed as being a boarder with Patrick Tierman living at 33 Victoria Street Allerton Bywater.
Dominic was injured on the 4th April 1930 at Allerton Bywater colliery by being crushed by tubs, and died on the 8th May 1930. He was buried on the 11th May.
Note:- The England Mining Disaster record shows that he died on the 4th June 1930. This is incorrect. The Yorkshire Post announces on Friday the 9th May 1930 that Dominic died at Leeds infirmary on Wednesday which would make it the 7th May 1830.





The Event date – above – is incorrect. The Yorkshire post ,below, is dated Friday 9th May 1930 and records his death as perhaps being on the 7th of May 1930.
