Joseph Pickard was born in Kippax in 1812.
He was killed on the 13th January 1855 at Locke & Co. Kippax colliery along with Robert Biscomb when an underground boiler burst.
Joseph was burried at Kippax church on January 15th 1855. He was 42 years old.
