James was born during 1856<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1861 Census:- James age 5 is with his parents Henry age 47 \u2013 occupation Agricultural Labourer, mother Elisa age 48 born New Buckenham, Norfolk – no occupation, sisters Elisa age 12 \u2013 Scholar and sister Emily age 8 \u2013 Scholar. They are living at and were born in Saxlingham, Nethergate, Norfolk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1871 Census:- James age 18 (should be 15) occupation Agricultural Labourer still with parents Henry age 56 occupation Agricultural Labourer, mother Elisa age 57 no occupation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

James was married in the first quarter 1878 to Caroline Ward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1881 Census:- James age 26 occupation Coal Miner is now living in Micklefield with his wife Caroline age 24 born in Huntingdon \u2013 no occupation, they now have two children William H Tyrell age 2 and Walter age 1. On the Census Record their surname has been written down as Turrell<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1891 Census:- James and his family have now moved to Colton, Temple Newsham near Leeds. James age 35 occupation Coal Miner is with his wife Caroline and their seven children, William H age 12 born Garforth – Scholar, Walter age 11 born Micklefield – Scholar, Lucy age 9 born in Garforth \u00a0– Scholar, Emily age 7 born in Garforth – Scholar, George age 6 born in Garforth, Eliza age 4 born in Garforth and Fred age 2 born in Colton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

James Tyrell was killed on the 29th<\/sup> October 1894 by a \u201cFall of Roof\u201d while working at T & RW Bowers Allerton Main Colliery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

James was buried at St Mary\u2019s Church Whitkirk on the 2nd<\/sup> November 1894.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
