Henry Lees was born in Tunstall, Staffordshire in 1849.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1851 Census:- Henry age 4 is living at Hunty Lea, Tunstall, Staffordshire with his parents Frederick age 31 \u2013 occupation Coal Miner, his Mother Ann age 31 \u2013 no occupation, brother George age 11 \u2013 occupation Coal Miner Assistant, sister Phoebe age 7, and younger brother Frederick age 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1861 Census:-  The family are now living at No 5 Church Street, Tunstall, Ann now a Widow age 45 is now head of the house \u2013 occupation Household Work, George is age 20 \u2013 Occupation \u2013 Engine Driver, Phobe age 20 \u2013 Occupation \u2013 Brick Carrier, Henry age 15 \u2013 Occupation \u2013 Labourer, Frederick age 11 \u2013 Occupation \u2013 Labourer,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ann age 7 \u2013 Scholar, John age 2 \u2013 Scholar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the 7th<\/sup> November 1869 Henry age 22 was married to Fanny Colclough in Tunstall, Staffordshire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1871 Census:- Henry age 23 and his wife Fanny have moved to Morley, West Riding of Yorkshire and are living at 97 Jackson lane, Morley, his occupation is Coal Miner, Fanny\u2019s occupation is described as Coal Miner wife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1881 Census:- Henry and his family have now moved to Great & Little Preston and are living at No 4 New Long Row. Henry age 33 \u2013 occupation Coal Miner, Fanny age 29 \u2013 no occupation, daughter Annie age 9 \u2013 Scholar was born in Hightown, Castleford, daughter Eliza age 7 \u2013 Scholar also born in Hightown, Castleford. Daughter Phoebe age 3 born in Northumberland and Daughter Fanny age 6 months born in Methley. Also living there are two Lodgers Joseph Hale age 26, and Levi Hale age 20 both Coal Miners from Dudley, Staffordshire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the 17th<\/sup> March 1884 Henry age 36 was killed by a Fall of Roof whilst working at T & RW Bowers Allerton Main Colliery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
