Kippax Colliery on the 26th March 1870. He was an assistant hanger on and was killed by the cage at the bottom of the shaft. Aged 16.<br>The coroners report was for accidentally crushed.<br>Joseph was buried at Allerton church on the 24th March 1870.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img
