{"id":3311,"date":"2025-01-01T16:09:23","date_gmt":"2025-01-01T16:09:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abhistory.co.uk\/blog\/?p=3311"},"modified":"2026-05-11T10:51:47","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T10:51:47","slug":"1872-francis-stoker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abhistory.co.uk\/blog\/?p=3311","title":{"rendered":"1872 &#8211; Francis Stoker"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Francis Stoker was born in Allerton Bywater in about 1822.<br>He married Mary Hutchinson, from Fairburn, on May 29th 1858 at Ledsham church.<br>On the 1861 census he is shown as being a colliery banksman.<br>On the 1871 census he is shown as being a colliery banksman.<br>He was killed on the 6th November 1872 at the Carter &amp; Co. Allerton Bywater Colliery by being blown down the shaft. <br>He was 50 years old and left a widow and 4 children according to the Yorkshire post<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
